Gadsisar lake near Jaisalmer was man-made in 1367.


Mandore was a large park in the middle of Jodhpur (‘the blue city”) filled with many
temples, monkeys and cows.


These temples in Khajuraho were built between 900 and 1150 AD, during the highest
level of development of Indian architectural design.


The temples were covered, inside and out, with all sorts of carvings. Most showed everyday
activities, but a few were covered with extremely erotic images.
